    Job Summary

    The Facility Maintenance Specialist will perform routine work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, and related utilities. This role requires strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and structural repairs.

    Responsibilities

    ">
    • Travel to different sites for service calls
    • Perform preventive maintenance and repair, installation, and maintenance of machinery, tools, equipment, and associated equipment
    • Support exterior grounds activities, including grass cutting, dumping trash, landscaping, parking lots, and other exterior area needs
    • Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, water distribution, and sewage facilities
    • Support sanitation processes and procedures, including rodent and pest control
    • Perform painting, small-scale structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, wallpaper, and treatments, and furnishings of buildings
    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals pertaining to facilities and equipment installed and serviced
    • Surveys work requirements, measures, and calculates materials, labor, and systems requirements, prepares material lists, and carries out required tasks in a timely and efficient manner
    • Responds to emergency maintenance requests; troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent; formal trade school or associate degree in facility management, engineering program, or related field preferred
    • Minimum two years experience in the maintenance trade, with strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and structural repairs required
    • Valid Indiana Driver's License is required

    Salary Information

    We estimate the salary for this position to be around $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
