Job summary
We are seeking a Full Time Outreach Phlebotomist to support the off site locations that will work mainly from Quincy MA This role will need to support Randolph and Braintree as needed This is will be a day shift position.Responsibilities
- Accurately follow physician orders when ordering the test(s) in the Laboratory computer system Determine and implement the appropriate course of action when unsure of an order or specimen required prior to obtaining the sample Accurately document all pertinent patient demographic and insurance information if performing the registration function li
- Independently obtain venous blood specimens from patients Properly identify the patient according to policy each and every time Perform the specimen collection in a manner appropriate for the population of the patient being served Obtain appropriate and suitable specimens for tests ordered li
- Receive specimens in te Laboratory computer system distribute them in accordance with urgency of tests requested Prepare specimens according to procedure for tests requested store at appropriate temperature if not immediately distributed ul>
