- Plan & perform regular Production Risk rate readiness assessments at suppliers. Establish MOS & monitoring, reporting and coordination of assigned readiness activities.
- Interface with Global Sourcing teams to prioritize supplier development needs by commodity to improve cost competitiveness or supply constraints.
- Expand footprint through strategic supplier selection and growth, based off of Honeywell business need and supply chain strategy.
- Drive supplier selection through robust qualification processes.
- Assess new and existing supplier capabilities to meet product, cost, quality, capacity, and fulfillment.
- Drive on-site improvements utilizing Lean methodologies, supplier scorecards and supplier assessments. Ensure supplier compliance while driving systematic problem solving and process improvement plans to deliver performance.
- Track the supplier's performance indicators, based on their scorecards and rankings, to facilitate and develop the supply base's ability to consistently meet or exceed defined expectations.
- Develop positive relationships and work closely with Global Sourcing leaders to manage, implement, and track supplier/engineering, design changes, capacity studies and New Product Introductions (NPI), and transitions.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership to sourcing and development of suppliers with respect to capabilities, performance, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Assist with new product launch by working with suppliers to ensure that key milestones are achieved.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, supply chain, or engineering.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Master's Degree in Engineering or Business
- Demonstrated Business and financial acumen
- Experience in sourcing or procurement
- Six Sigma Training or Certification.
- Ability to succeed in a matrixed organization
- Significant experience in materials management
- Experience within material control system such as MRP/SAP systems
- Expertise across professional disciplines within material management function.
- High bias for action and integrative problem-solving skills
- Ability to think strategically while tactically setting goals and tasks scope
- Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and changing priorities; make sound decisions under pressure, and work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a crisp and to-the-point presentation style, and an ability to quickly and positively influence others.
