    04/26/2024This full-time position is (8) hours per day, 8:30am-5:00pm, (210) day contract, Regular Secretary for the Transportation & Food Service Supervisors. Union position. Salary based on Negotiated Agreement Salary Scheduled. Benefits. Tested position.

    JOB GOAL:
    Assist Transportation & Food Service Supervisors by performing general duties in the office, display good judgment, maintain a professional demeanor, and present a good image for the district in all interpersonal relations. The individual shall have an understanding of the educational process and the rules/regulations of the Transportation & Food Service Departments.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Prior Secretarial Experience required
    2. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
    3. Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
    4. A satisfactory BCI & FBI background check
    5. A satisfactory work history
    6. The individual must be self-motivated, have good communication skills and the ability to work professionally with administrators, parents, students, other staff members
    and organizations.
    7. Exhibit good health, high moral character, and good attendance record.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    1. Excellent computer skills; email, word, excel, routing programs, google, etc.
    2. Learn Bus Route System (Transportation)
    3. Learn CRRS (Claiming System) (Food Service)
    4. Knowledge of and ability to assist with state reports.
    5. Ability to multi-task and cope with stressful situations.
    6. Upgrade skills through formal and/or in-service training.
    7. Understanding of OAPSE Contract.
    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    The individual in this assignment must discharge all delegated responsibilities in a manner which is consistently in accordance with the policies adopted by the Board of Education. Work related to the performance responsibilities listed below may be assigned by the Transportation & Food Service Supervisors. Work shall include, but not be limited to those tasks listed below.

    Essential Functions for Transportation Dept.:
    1. Handle finding coverage for bus routes for any drivers that call off
    2. Answer the telephone, answer questions appropriately
    3. File reports, correspondence, notices, catalogs, & records as needed
    4. Enter new students in computer and assign to appropriate routes
    5. Maintain records and reports as requested
    6. Time sheets
    7. Billing/Invoices
    Essential Functions for Food Service Dept.:
    1. Handle Free and Reduced Lunch applications
    2. Prepare Purchase Orders and Requisitions
    3. Organize bills for individual kitchens and send to Accounts Payable
    4. Send Supervisor of Food Service monthly billing and amounts
    5. Needs to learn the claiming system (CRRS)
    6. Sends correspondence out to parents as needed
    Other Duties and Responsibilities: May include, but not be limited to those tasks listed below:
    1. Perform other related functions as may be required from time to time.
    WORKING CONDITIONS:
    The Board of Education and administration will provide a safe and healthful work environment pursuant to applicable state and federal regulations. The individual in this assignment is expected to follow all safety rules and is to report any concerns with regard to his/her working conditions to his/her immediate supervisor.
