    What You Will Be Responsible For:

    As the Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for processing claims and maintaining regular communication with individuals seeking Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Handling a significant volume of calls from a diverse range of claimants seeking assistance with their UI claims.
    • Examining documents to verify eligibility and identify any obstacles that could impact eligibility for unemployment insurance.
    • Addressing technical inquiries related to the status of unemployment claims, discrepancies in wage records, claims procedures, or issues impeding claims processing.
    • Providing informative guidance to claimants and the business community regarding UI services.
    • Leveraging computer systems for reviewing and organizing work tasks effectively.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in administrative research tasks, involving data compilation, evaluation, and decision-making based on program guidelines and regulations adherence.

    Note: College-level coursework may be considered as a substitution for experience at a rate of 45-quarter units per year of academic study.
