    Job descriptionThe Patient Service Representative is the first point of contact between the patient and clinical staff. Patient check in, payment collection, communication with patients via phone and email, various other front office duties.

    The front office position plays a vital role of ensuring & exceeding the expectations of the patient with the Macon Occupational Medicine experience.


    Responsibilities:
    Greet patients and provide instructions to all visitors in a polite and professional mannerRelay relevant information regarding payment policies and billing/collection processesMaintain the readiness of the Macon Occupational Medicine reception areaPerform clerical tasks and adhere to established policies and proceduresDetermine and collect each patient's financial responsibilityAssist the practice manager and other staff as requiredProvide overall support for Physicians and office operationsObtain and document patient historyUnderstand and enforce standard healthcare regulatory requirementsCollect and maintain all patient and business documents while maintaining confidentialityPerform office procedures including all general administrative dutiesDocument Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventionsAssure HIPAA and OSHA compliance

    Minimum Qualifications:
    High school diploma or equivalent.
    Prefer at least one year experience in a medical office or emergency room setting.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    One-year medical office experience preferred, but not requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Required to sit, walk, reach with hands and arms throughout workday
    • Finger dexterity and hand coordination required
    • Occasionally required to lift moderate weight pounds)
    • Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust or focusINDPUC
