Hamilton Connections is seeking maintenance mechanics for a manufacturing company in Walden NY. Candidates must have industrial mechanical skills. These are temp-to-hire positions.
Day and overnight shift available. The day shift is 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. The overnight shift is 5 p.m.-5 a.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $34-$37 per hour depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of work in general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities and equipment
• Assist in construction, preventative, routine and breakdown maintenance
• Perform scheduled inspections and servicing of equipment
• Assist with completion of system modifications and improvement projects
• Repair, replace and/or fabrication of broken parts
• Perform maintenance on material handling equipment
• General grounds keeping and facility-related maintenance
• Document and report all maintenance repairs
• Repair any potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Must have maintenance mechanic experience
• Highly knowledgeable with hand and power tools
• Motivated, self-driven and innovative with the ability to work independently or with a team
• Have common sense, resourcefulness and a high level of critical thinking.
• Knowledge of welding, machine shop and use of PIV's is a plus
• Ability to change shafts, bearings and gears a plus
• Able to train on the day shift
• Must be able to adhere to company policy, safety rules and regulations, and wear PPE
