As a Material Handler, you will pick and kit materials, communicate / respond with material movement to and from both production areas and outside locations in a safe and expeditious manner and to accurately document material movement in support of our heavy machinery production teams
Other duties include:
Responsible for putting safety first with a goal to prevent all injuries, occupational illnesses and safety incidents.
Order and safely deliver all material to the appropriate locations ensuring right part at the right place at the right time in the right quantity and quality using various material handling equipment including counterbalance, reach truck, picker, tug and turret machines.
Use handheld scanner and computer for material movement transactions to perform material handling tasks including stocking, picking parts and material auditing.
Safely empty hoppers and dunnage. Take initiative to identify, document, communicate and correct problems related to material movement, report discrepancies and recommend solutions. Perform other material handling tasks and projects as required including running grief, dock loading and unloading, dunnage removal.The BasicsShift:

Compensation Offered:
$20.00/hour, over time eligible, with additional eligible compensation from Quarterly Gain Sharing bonus of up to 10%. Eligible for a 90 day performance review.

Minimum of 6 months computer usage6 months of warehouse / material handling experienceExposure to mobile equipment in a warehouse environmentResume attachment OR completed application work history required
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Experience driving material handling equipment (i.e. counterbalance, turret, reach, picker)
Ability to read standard work and write continuous improvement cardsAbility to utilize computer/scanner for material movement transactionsPhysical Requirements:
Lift up to 35 lbs frequentlyStand for a minimum of 8 hour shifts with minimal breaksWork at multiple heightsExposure to magnets that may impact medical devicesRepetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, rotatingUse of hand tools including band cutters and box cutterOperate material handling equipment (i.e. counterbalance, turret, reach truck, picker)
Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoistsEnvironment:
Limited exposure to welding fumes and noise levels of 85db or greaterWork in environment with frequently changing temperaturesWork in tight spaces
Required Personal Protective Equipment:
hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toed/metatarsal foot gear, bump caps and protective material handling equipment including safety/fall harness.
