    DESCRIPTION
    Do you have a passion for leveraging cloud technology innovation to drive business outcomes for BioPharma/BioTech customers? Do you have deep experience in BioPharma/BioTech value chain, which includes research & discovery, clinical development, commercialization, and regulatory compliance? Do you understand business problems faced by pharma/biopharma customers and the business outcomes these life sciences organizations need to drive? Do you understand innovative cloud-based technology solutions to solve complex pharma/biopharma business problems?     The AWS Americas Industry team is looking for an experienced HCLS BioPharma/BioTech Industry Leader to join our fast-paced team to work with our strategic partners to lead and execute AWS HCLS BioPharma/BioTech business with partners, drive joint GTM strategy, and help BioPharma/BioTech customers solve their business problems.

    As the Head of BioPharma/BioTech for Americas, you will be owning & managing the HCLS BioPharma/BioTech Partner business for Americas.

    Additional responsibilities include BioPharma/BioTech Industry partner pipeline management, contributing to the BioPharma/BioTech partner ecosystem strategy, managing strategic relationships with influential Technology (ISV), Consulting (G/SI), and driving CXO-level relationships with BioPharma/BioTech customers, and partners.


    You will possess the deep BioPharma/BioTech industry background and/or consulting experience that enables you to engage at the CXO level with these life sciences customers and partners.

    You will demonstrate credibility as a BioPharma/BioTech expert and interact with partners, enterprise customers and sales/field reps. The position also requires a strong technical acumen, along with working knowledge of the HCLS Pharma/Biopharma consulting services landscape.

    You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about new business models, solution selling, and partner engagement to help build and convey compelling value propositions for AWS customers through AWS Partners.

    You should also have a proven track record of influencing innovation through partners with prior solution and program successes.

    6+ years industry work experience with a BioPharma/BioTech company is strongly preferred.

    Additional experience consulting or business development specifically with BioPharma/BioTech companies is preferred

    Key job responsibilities


    Executing the Global HCLS Partner strategic plan for the Americas which includes aligning with partner development managers and account managers who manage our top AWS technology and consulting companies.


    Be part of the Americas Industry Team to drive the overall global AWS BioPharma/BioTech partner strategy to our internal and external stakeholders including the AWS sales teams, partner sales, as well as media coverage and industry events.

    Build C-level relationships with our top BioPharma/BioTech customers, and partners.

    Execute go-to-market and routes-to-market plans that have clear and measurable ROI.

    Represent the AWS HCLS partner strategy internally and externally including presenting at Executive Briefings and Conferences.

    Prioritize AWS investment in partners who focus on HCLS, including leading startups, consulting companies, and established ISV/SaaS technology vendors.

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

    The base pay for this position ranges from $136,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $254,500/year in our highest geographic market.

    Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
