    Job Summary

    The UGE Operator operates machines to install underground infrastructure for customers, supporting the Line team and maintaining equipment.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate various jobsite equipment safely.
    • Perform service, safety checks, and minor repairs on equipment.
    • Ensure work area is staked/located before digging.
    • Assist maintenance crew or labor as needed.
    • Dig around live utilities (underground and overhead).
    • Provide guidance to lower-graded operators and laborers.
    • Comply with safety standards/procedures.
    • Safely load trucks.
    • Improve operational efficiency and customer service.
    • Perform other assigned duties.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 1 year of relevant experience.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Preferred:
    • 2+ years of experience.
    • OSHA 10 Certification.
    • CDL Class A driver's license.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    This role operates in the field and requires physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.

    Vision, hand-eye coordination, and color identification abilities are essential for this position.
