The Role:

Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop is seeking an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager at our Robinson Township location for the second shift.

Assist in the management our 45+ warehouse team, processes, and play a key role in implementing a new inventory & ordering control system.

As Second Shift Assistant Warehouse Manager, lead and exceed productivity targets, working closely with team members and managers. Communication and leadership are crucial as you'll be the main point of contact. This role is critical for both our Retail Stores and expanding Wholesale business.

We rely on our Warehouse Managers to be responsible for the health and safety of our team members.

Previous & extensive experience working within a warehouse and an absolute understanding of the basic operations of a warehouse are required.

Training & experience in fundamental warehouse operations, OSHA regulations, and forklift certification is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the warehouse, including goods in, order fulfillment, and goods out.
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations in line with our company's standards, policies, and vision.
• Implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient flow of operations and utilization of space.
• Lead a team of warehouse staff including performance management, training, and development.
• Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment.
• Review and prepare workflow, manning, and space requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain stock control systems.
• Liaise with suppliers and transport companies.
• Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met.

Job Requirements:

• Team Leader with proven track record in a warehouse environment.
• Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
• Forklift experience & certification.
• Strong decisionmaking and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage staff.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
