    KO Business Solutions is a professional staffing firm in the Chicagoland area that supports the hiring needs of companies across the country. Our partner in the fitness industry is looking to add new Personal Trainers to their team to lead individual and small group trainings for their valued clientele.

    Location: Onsite, Clarendon Hills, IL

    Payrate: $25-$40/hr based on experience.

    Job Type: 1099 Contractor w/ potential for conversion

    The Personal Trainer will provide a diverse group of clients with training programs specific to their individual needs. Each training program is centered around three major goals: improving overall strength, reducing injuries, and teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills. The Personal Trainer must also devise training programs according to sound scientific principles, supervise training sessions, evaluate clients, and teach small group private training sessions.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement strength and conditioning programs for a variety of different clients.
    • Lead individual and small group training sessions to clients of varying fitness levels.
    • Provide supervision and basic exercise instructions for members.
    • Screen health history information, take baseline measurements, and make recommendations related to their fitness goals.
    • Schedule and perform all appointments for fitness assessments and personal training sessions.
    • Maintain all member information in a secure area.
    • Promotes and effectively sells all ancillary services including, but not limited to, assessment exercise prescriptions, personal training, small group private training, fitness app training, and nutritional products.
    • Maintain knowledge of all events and activities at the facility.
    • Arrive as a first responder to all medical emergencies with urgency and complete incident report. All incident reports will be reported to the manager then owner.
    • Assist in the planning and implementation of member retention programs.
    • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, inspect equipment, upholstery and report and required maintenance or repair.
    • Demonstrate complete knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and confidence communicating with EMS.
    • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor in work-related relationships with all persons at the facility including but not limited to members, guests, and employees.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university in a health-related, exercise science, kinesiology, or physical education major required.
    • Prior work experience or an internship in the fitness industry required.
    • CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire.
    • Current personal training certification.
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with clients in a positive, service-based manner.
    • Flexibility as it relates to facility hours, work schedules and scheduling appointments for prospects and members.
    • Ability to multitask and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor.
    • Proficient computer skills.
    • Insurance coverage for training period.
    • Meet all safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties.
    • Ability to lift 45 pounds.
