The Platform as a Service (PaaS) Team

We are building a cloud-based platform that enables Bloomberg engineering teams to develop, deploy, and manage production services. The Bloomberg-Platform-as-a-Service (BPaaS) is a multi-tenant system providing automation for deploying docker images to Kubernetes and managing the lifecycle of those deployments.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our team. You will work on highly visible projects that support critical use cases without close supervision. Your responsibilities will include:

Design and implement features and tools following standard software development methodologies;
Collaborate with team members and other engineering teams to design scalable and robust systems;
Proactively recommend and contribute improvements to the platform;
Research and keep the team aware of the latest software trends.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

4+ years of programming experience with an object-oriented programming language;
A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar field of study or equivalent work experience;
Ability to keep up with current trends and technologies;
Experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker.

PREFERRED SKILLS

We would love to see:

Experience with Golang and JavaScript/TypeScript;
Experience developing RESTful APIs.

Salary: $160,000 - $240,000 per year
