    Summary

    Assist with the supervision of daily operations of the WIC Program by providing oversight to designated clinical and administrative operations of the WIC Program.

    Work Schedule:
    • Position may be located at any Tarrant County WIC Clinic; therefore, traveling will be required using personal vehicle.
    • Hours: M-F 9am-6pm and one (1) Saturday per month from 8am-5pm.
    Grant funded.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Interviews, selects, and counsels employees.
    2. Assesses employee job performance and participates in the evaluation process.
    3. Provides staffing coverage as needed including opening appointments and creating weekly staffing schedule.
    4. Coordinates area activities for quality assurance, training, breastfeeding, nutrition education, and outreach.
    5. Manages clinic and staff problems including the MIS system.
    6. Advises Family Health Services Associateship on WIC issues.
    7. Oversees customer satisfaction through the performance of patient flow analysis, surveys, and direct observation.
    8. Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support WIC services.
    9. Assists with the monitoring of contract performance measures.
    10. Promotes WIC services throughout Tarrant County.
    11. Acts as liaison to other health professional and community agencies.
    12. Acts as liaison to WIC vendors.
    13. Performs all other related duties involved in the operation of the Public Health Department as assigned or required.
    Minimum Requirements

    TO APPLY, must have a Bachelor's degreeplus be a Registered Dietitian AND Three (3) full-time years of managerial experience (including personnel management) ANDThree (3) full-time years of experience in a WIC program. (Experience can be concurrent).

    TO APPLY, must have a Master's degreein Nutrition Sciences, Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Health Sciences, Public Health , or any equivalent degree in a related field ANDOne (1) full-time year of managerial experience (including personnel management) ANDOne (1) full-time year of experience in a WIC program. (Experience can be concurrent).

    TO APPLY, must have a current valid driver license.
    • International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Organized, critical thinker with time management skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally to individuals and groups to present information.
    • Ability to work well with others to facilitate communication among individuals, groups, and organizations.
    • Ability to problem solve and plan activities.
    • Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of policies, programs, and services on different populations in a community.
