- Microscopically examine and diagnose gynecologic and non-gynecologic slides for infectious, pre-malignant, and malignant diseases.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA regulations, including documenting interpretations and maintaining specimen integrity.
- Enter and report results into the laboratory information system while upholding patient confidentiality.
- Adhere to all local, federal, CLIA, and CAP regulations to maintain quality standards.
- Participate in proficiency-testing programs annually to ensure continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in clinical lab, physical, or biological science.
- Meet CLIA and ASCP requirements for Cytotechnologist.
- Obtain state licensure for Cytotechnologist in FL.
- Liquid-based cytology training/certification preferred.
