    Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Job Description

    The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) plays a vital role in delivering clinical and occupational health services to colleagues within their regulated scope of practice.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinates clinical operations, including medical surveillance, OSHA recordkeeping, facility operations, and patient care activities such as triage, counseling, patient education, sick or emergency visits, first aid, and other activities as needed.
    • Provides preventive medicine and wellness services/counseling; supports site health promotion and disease prevention programs.
    • Performs Disability and Workers' Compensation RTW case management and other case management functions as deemed necessary.
    • Documents patient data in paper and electronic medical database(s), as applicable per standard protocols.
    • Oversights the site's Research Support Program as Principal Investigator.

    Requirements:

    • Master's Degree in nursing with APRN Board Certification.
    • Connecticut license required.
    • Must be CPR certified.
    • Must possess current malpractice insurance.
    • COHN-S preferred.
    • A minimum of 5+ years' experience as a CW professional.
    • Demonstrates experience in acute episodic care, wellness care, and counseling of adults.
    • Proficient in the use of electronic medical record keeping systems desirable.
    • Proficient in the following technical competencies: Knowledge of CW Regulations (HIPAA, Worker's Compensation, OSHA, ADA, FMLA, CLIA, Federal, state, or local public health regulations, Pfizer Human Resources policies and procedures).
    • Proficient in the following technical competencies related to risk avoidance/minimization/control (Diagnosis and treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses, Preventive care, immunizations, Diagnosis and treatment of non-occupational cases, Universal precautions, Wellness programs, Ergonomics, Employee Assistance Programs, Clinical procedures, Case Management).

    Salary and Benefits:

    $50 - $54 per hour. This is a fully onsite role in Groton, CT.
