Job Description
The Opportunity:
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical is currently hiring for an Associate Director of Alumni Engagement to support the Worldwide College of Arts and Sciences.
This position reports to the university-level executive director of alumni engagement and in collaboration with the college dean manages all activities that increase the college's alumni engagement, including developing alumni profiles and establishing alumni boards, as well as philanthropic activities, among others.
The position will ensure that the alumni are key stakeholders in both constructing and executing the college's strategic plan.Additionally, the associate director of alumni engagement WWCOAS will develop and execute a comprehensive alumni communication strategy for the college.
Strong communication skills across different mediums, such as written and video, are required.The associate director of alumni engagement WWCOAS will also work with the dean and faculty on alumni programs and one-on-one with alumni when they travel on behalf of the university.
Responsibilities:
Alumni Engagement Support
Identify active alumni from your college to serve on the college advisory board and as alumni experts in their fields.
Build groups of alumni to assist the dean in meeting the college's needs in mentoring, coaching, and guiding academics.Execute new alumni engagement initiatives and programs.
Assist in developing and executing alumni communication strategies.
Plan and manage alumni events for the college.
Support the annual Worldwide Virtual Homecoming and graduations.
Programming
Develop and execute effective evaluation of alumni programs using benchmarking data to guide decision-making.
Create an active, year-round calendar of alumni engagement programs.
Plan and coordinate the dean's meet & greet sessions with alumni.
Alumni Communications
Manage dedicated college communication to alumni to promote more alumni success stories, update what is happening in the college, and suggest how alumni can become involved.
Manage the college alumni digital content library.Work with the dean and faculty to bring to life stories on alumni industry partners for the purposes of building high-quality videos specific to the college, leveraging alumni industry experts.
Stay up to date on communication trends and best practices.Secondary Job Functions:
An understanding of learning management systems (specifically Canvas) is a plus

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or Business
At least two years' experience in writing, building content, and communications plan for alumni relations or similar field
A communication portfolio showcasing writing samples and videography skills
Exhibits traits such as teamwork, collaboration, solution-mindedness, positive attitude, and an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
