    What you'll do:

    • Oversee all production shift personnel, assign work, review performance, make salary recommendations, provide coaching and counseling when necessary.
    • Perform process troubleshooting
    • Lead a small team of associates in execution of Production tasks, work schedule, training, maintenance, and continuous improvement under the direction of the Plant Operations & Engineering Manager
    • Training of all production colleagues and support staff
    • Ensure the effective use of a personnel
    • Monitor and increase efficiency in utilization and productivity
    • Communicate and execute prioritization of mold set-ups and manning
    • Assure 100% accuracy of production reporting including machine downtime and scrap
    • Maintain production and maintenance logs as required
    • Perform mold setups/startups as required
    • Coordinate activities with support departments to ensure production metrics are achieved
    • Implement lean initiatives and prioritize 5S on the shift as directed
    • Assure that product meets Quality Goals working closely with the QC Department
    • Enforce safety standards on all areas of the production floor
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    What we're looking for:

    • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
    • Minimum 5 years of injection molding or thermoforming experience
    • Minimum 3 years of shift supervision experience
    • Ability to speak, read and write English
    • Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
    • Basic math skills
    • Computer literacy to include Word, excel and applicable software programs
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
    • Experience with plastics technology, electricity, electronic circuitry, molding and hydraulics
    • Good problem solving skills; Dependable and self-motivated
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; talk or listen
    • The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; lift overhead; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
    • This position requires frequent manual dexterity in combination with eye/hand coordination such as keyboarding and assembling small parts
    • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
    • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
