Your Day
The job responsibilities may include:

Cleaning, sanitizing and organizing areas.
Clearing away garbage and emptying all trash.
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors and carpets within designated areas.
Mowing lawns, sweeping walkways, removing snow using blowers floor buffers carpet cleaning equipment dust polish furniture accessories wash windows mirrors remove stains marks checking damages property notify managers needed repairs minor repairs ordering supplies stocking supplies locking doors securing building entryways cleaning spills hazards appropriate equipment moving heavy supplies lift equipment working shifts possibly evening hours In addition to physical strength depth perception eye-hand coordination an ideal Janitor Custodian will have direct related work experience plumbing electrical trade skills useful understanding general building operations push carts lift equipment performing various movements required mobility tasks bending reaching standing eight hours daily variable conditions noise odors dust temperature frequent interruptions excellent organizational time management skills good judgment problem solving skills follow instructions demonstrate initiative work independently knowledge mixing applying chemical solutions plus What you may gain while on the job Communication skills Providing information supervisors co-workers phone writing person Building Relationships service others non-competitive environment Independence make decisions meet responsibilities Teaching mentoring helping train prepare new employees job Staying active keep yourself actively throughout day
