    Description

    **Description:**

    This position is for a CNC Machinist where they will be working on Okuma CNC Mills and Okuma CNC Lathes. The role requires someone to read blueprints or drawings, set up the machine, edit G Codes, and then run the part for production. They will be required to operator and run their machine performing quality checks with micrometers and calipers at the end of the process. The machines they have are CNC Mills (3 Axis), and CNC Lathes, Manual Bridgeport Mills, Manual Lathes.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Read and interpret blueprints along with work orders lists to gather proper materials

    Set up and operate both CNC Mills and Lathes

    Create program off of drawings and use Mastercam

    Perform quality checks with analog micrometers and calipers (no digital)

    Edit programs with G Codes and Mastercam

    Part runs between 50 to 100 pieces

    Job Requirements

    At least 5 years experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist working on both mill and lathe machines

    Experienced in utilizing Mastercam to create programs

    Ability to work off of blueprints as well as verbal instructions

    Work within a job shop environment with a variety of parts and low part runs
