- Conduct DNA cloning and plasmid DNA preparation
- Perform gel electrophoresis, Western blot, and DNA/RNA extraction from cells and tissues
- Conduct polymerase chain reaction (PCR, quantitative PCR (qPCR) and RT-PCR.
- Execute genome editing with CRISPR technology.
- Cell culture: Cell line maintenance, transfection and electroporation
- In vitro cell based assays, experience with flow cytometry preferred
- Sample preparations, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence
- Conduct RNA in situ hybridization, RNA-scope preferred
- Execute benchwork independently, demonstrating a high level of technical proficiency
- Organize all research data, maintain electronic lab notebook
- Manage research projects from conception to completion
- Train and supervise laboratory technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Ph.D. in a biomedical field with a focus on molecular biology with up to 3 years of research experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or post-doctoral experience in relevant field. Candidates with 5+ years research experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with a bachelor's degree or a master's degree with 3+ years research experience within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry will also be considered.
- Proven expertise in molecular biology techniques, including DNA cloning, DNA/RNA extraction, qPCR, western blotting
- Strong background in histology, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence
- Ability to work independently, manage projects, and troubleshoot technical challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience with mouse models is preferred
