    ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
    Non-rotating 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Schedule may be set from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

    Responsibilities

    Coordinate technical staff to ensure timely review, comment and execution of multiple projects.

    Assure review of projects to a decision point by the appropriate decision maker and is responsible for monitoring cost and reporting to supervisory staff schedule and performance goals.

    Review and comment on construction plans for compliance with TCEQ, city codes, engineering standards and regulations of the City.

    Proactively anticipate process issues to be resolved and assists in bringing staff together to provide clarity and resolve issues during data review and implementation stages and regulatory compliance.

    Develop and execute automated work tools and informational materials to assist staff, consultants and contractors to meet cost, quality and schedule goals.

    Coordinate program activities, plant operations and meet with other City Departments and other governmental agencies. Serve on internal and external committees in order to maintain consensus on process management functions and other related functions. Compile written materials (logs, sign in sheets, presentations, etc.) for project documentation.

    Coordinate time schedules and project time frames; must work well under pressure and be able to work on multiple tasks concurrently.

    Communicate effectively orally and in writing with the public and other City staff in an effective manner. Assist in development and implementation of operating budgets. Monitor purchases of materials and equipment to maintain quality control and compliance with City financial policies.

    Participate in regular strategic planning, multi-skilled worker training planning, and root cause analysis sessions with Management Staff, Work Coordinators and Training Coordinators.

    Work with other Project Managers, contractors, representatives, and engineers to ensure effective execution of projects and work assignments. Assist in policy and procedure development. Perform other duties assigned.

    Qualifications


    Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Environmental Engineering or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience in water industry strongly preferred.

    Competent with MS Office applications. Must be able to obtain B Wastewater License within three years of hire. A valid driver's license is required.

    Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

    Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
