    Supervisesand coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating avariety of machines to manufacture and pack bread products byperforming the following duties personally or through subordinates.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinatesand plans weekly production schedule in conjunction with theMaterials Management department based on master scheduling andinventory policies set for each Stock Keeping Unit(SKU).
    • Completes weekly employee schedulebased on the production schedule.
    • Ensure jobsafety analysis is accurate and followed by all employees. Performaccident investigations and corrective action.
    • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensurecustomer deadlines are met.
    • In conjunctionwith quality assurance staff, inspects and measures products toverify conformance to specifications. Trains employees toidentify product that does not meet specifications and ensure it isnot shipped.
    • Directs employees in adjustingmachines, equipment and work processes to ensure productspecifications are met.
    • Develops, recommendsand implements changes in working conditions and use of equipmentto improve production methods, equipment performance andefficiency, employee performance and product quality.
    • Resolves worker issues or submits unsettled issues toHuman Resources department for action.
    • Maintains clean and organized work area.
    • Develops capital equipment justifications for machinetools and process technology to improve quality, cost and cycletimes.
    • Maintains time and productionrecords.
    • Documents line inefficiencies anddown-time to identify issues. Works in conjunction with others toresolve them in a timely manner.
    • Completesduties, and ensures that subordinates complete their duties, inaccordance with quality assurance, Good Manufacturing Practices(GMPs), safety and other company programs and procedures, and inaccordance with government codes and regulations.
    • Other duties may beassigned.

    Qualifications

    • Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years ofrelated bakery or food manufacturing experience and/or training; orequivalent combination of education and experience.
    • At least two years of experience working at a bakeryoperation.
    • Ability to read, analyze andinterpret documents such as production schedules, safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Abilityto speak effectively before groups of employees or colleagues inorganization.
    • To perform this jobsuccessfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Wordprocessing software, Excel spreadsheet software and Outlook emailsoftware. Knowledge of inventory control and manufacturing softwarehelpful.
    • Must be flexible to workweekend.
    • Working knowledge of Spanishpreferred.
