- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed manufacturing plans and procedures for aircraft assembly and flight line operations
- Provide support for fullrate production standup and ongoing production activities, ensuring adherence to schedule and quality standards
- Work closely with shop floor personnel to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing processes and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality in manufacturing operations

As a Manufacturing Engineer on the 2nd Shift F-16 Final Assembly and Flight Line team at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the entire lifecycle of aircraft programs
Working closely with various engineering disciplines and shop floor personnel, you will contribute to the development, production, and sustainment of advanced aircraft

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with 7 years or more of professional experience, 5 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree or 9 years professional experience in the absence of a Bachelors degree 5 years experience with corrective action and process improvements Experience as a technical expert in a manufacturing discipline Experience guiding the successful completion of major programs and functioning in a project leadership role
Desired Skills:
10+ years previous manufacturing/operations engineering experience Strong project/time management skills Self-motivated, performs work with the general direction Ability to independently determine and develop approach to solutions Can exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and approaches to assignment Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel Background and working knowledge of tool design and tooling issues Experience supporting experts in the resolution of program level issues and capable of providing independent support to the production organization Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling Prior experience on fighter jet programs

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees
Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
