    * Manage the day-to-day operations of all of Babcock Canadas Marine Warehouses in support of the Victoria in Service Support Contract (VISSC), inclusive of Special Tools and Test Equipment (SPTATE) Warehouse Operations, West Coast and East Coast Warehouse Operations and Technical Inspection Operations.


    • Maintain satisfactory service levels to Babcock projects/customers in line with project timescales and delivery dates.
    • Develop and Implement continuous improvement initiatives and report the results to the appropriate stakeholders.
    • Liaise with other Supply Chain teams, carry out benchmarking to establish external best practice and where appropriate implement revised operating methods and approaches to deliver continuous improvement to Supply Chain performance.
    • Maintain Babcocks Quality Management System, ensuring process maps are current and reflect the needs of the business.
    • Support the Corporate Quality function to ensure all material processes and procedures for responsible areas conform to the requirements of ISO9001/2000 and BS5750.
    • Manage, monitor and mitigate risks utilizing the risk register.
    • Plan and organise the layout of warehouses to ensure maximum utilisation of available space/resources including future warehouse infrastructure to support changes to the core and commercial business.
    • Communicate using various methods to stakeholders at all levels on a variety of subjects
    • Develop reporting staff; set clear objectives; manage performance; develop skills and competencies
    • Promote and exhibit a positive Health & Safety culture across all staff within area of responsibility ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, local and corporate safety standards
    • Perform other duties as deemed necessary and reasonable to support the business.
    • You hold a High School Diploma or equivalent (College or University diploma an asset)
    • You have eight (8) years current experience working in a warehouse/inventory operations environment
    • You have experience in material management for major equipment and systems
    • You have previous experience in a management role
    • You have proven project management skills including; budget, forecasting, and maintenance experience
    • You have an understanding of risk management processes
    • You have excellent stakeholder management skills
    • You are skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • A professional supply chain designation, such as Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) through the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) is considered an asset
    • You have experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Experience with either Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS) and Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS), would be considered an asset
    • You are available for occasional travel, both locally and across Canada
    • Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date
    • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
