Case Manager - Baton Rouge, United States - Emergent Method
Description
Emergent Talent, a division of Emergent Method, is seeking qualified candidates to provide application processing and case management support to several projects related to disaster recovery.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, proficient communication skills, adept organizational abilities, easily adapt to constantly evolving business demands, and enjoy the challenges of supporting team members in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Process, monitor, track, and report on applications according to established program requirementsRegularly receive training on new tasks and activities to support processing of program activities Maintain an understanding of policies, requirements, and procedures related to the programProcess applications and determine eligibility of applicants and compile, develop, and maintain project records related to applicant eligibilityProvide support for daily project management activities including advising and consulting with applicantsReview financial records, underlying documentation, and historical reports for accuracy and completenessReview and understand manuals, standard operating procedures, policies, and other regulatory documentsPrepare and deliver information summaries to clients and key stakeholdersReview and validate documentation to provide information that is consistent and properly reconciledMeet with and brief applicants with frequent communications and status updatesPerform other duties as requested by the project teamPay is competitive and commensurate with experience.

QualificationsRequirements for this position include the following:
Experience using technology and various systems to process work activitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft ExcelAttention to detail and organizational skillsStrong strategic thinking, analytical, and multi-tasking skillsAbility to monitor and report on multiple activities with a focus on meeting and exceeding deadlinesAbility to work with a team and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve a common goalAbility to timely complete tasks and meet targets for task completion and quality Willingness to learn new skills and adopt new technologies and methodologiesOther preferred (but not required) qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, public administration, emergency management, insurance, or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experienceExperience related to applicant intake and eligibility determinationsExperience in grants management, program management, emergency management, QA/QC functions and management, applicant relations, or related experience that clearly demonstrates comparable knowledge, skills, and abilitiesKnowledge and experience working with government agencies, disaster management, and flood recovery programs or effortsBackgroundEmergent Method is a Louisiana-based management consulting firm focused on helping companies and organizations innovate, grow, improve their performance, and achieve their missions.
