MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL HOSPITAL

Job Title: Lead Cashier
Job Family: Admin/Clerical/Cust Service
Department: Parking & Commuter Services
Position Reports To: Parking Supervisor

GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: This role involves training and supervising Parking Service Assistants, managing cash control, cash operations, ensuring all parking systems are in order, and acting as a lead during Supervisor's absence. Required to handle customer complaints and emergencies, interpret parking policies, and oversee garage and lot operations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform all Parking Service Assistant functions
Monitor cash flow and revenue deposits
Train, develop, and supervise employees
Interpret parking policies and resolve customer issues
Assist with parking equipment maintenance and emergency procedures
Relieve cashiers and perform other assigned duties

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Team player with excellent customer service skills
Good organizational and problems solving abilities
Reliable, flexible, and able to work under pressure
Basic computer skills and ability to follow instructions
Knowledge of hospital protocols and regulations

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, and/or REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver's License required.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma required. College degree in business or finance preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years of related business experience or supervisory training.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Up to 12 FTEs

WORKING CONDITIONS: Occasional exposure to temperature extremes, high volume environment.
