    Description

    Atrium Health Weight Management is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join its current team of 5 Bariatric Surgeons and 2 APPs.

    This full-time position includes:
    A broad-based general surgery practicing elective and acute procedures at Atrium Health Mercy and NorthEast
    Assist Surgeons in Gastric Bypass, Gastric Sleeve and Duodenal Switch and revisional bariatric surgery
    Inpatient work comprising 2-4 scheduled cases per day, with variable monthly call rotation shared with fellows and residents
    Provides services in inpatient, outpatient, endoscopy and operating room setting caring for acute and chronically ill or injured patients. Three years of bariatric surgery experience and/or surgical Specialty
    Experience as a first assist and management of patients after bariatric surgery as an inpatient and ED experience working with bariatric surgery patients
    Experience working in the operating room especially with laparoscopy and evaluation of inpatients
    Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in NC required. BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice.
    Nurse Practitioner - Masters Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. Physician Assistant - Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required; About Atrium Health
