    Job Description PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Researches, writes, edits, and proofreads technical data for use in documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications
    • Ensures technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style
    • Works with a team consisting of engineers, cyber security, logistic, and information technology professionals to produce and deliver program artifacts and documentation
    • Attends meetings and ensures action items and minutes are captured and disseminated
    • Organizes workflows and updates Teams tracker on progress of various workflows
    • Ensures teams' workflow progress is coordinated and communicated to leadership to include ops leads and PMs
    • Prepares documentation templates and sends to assigned Lead Engineers in CMPro
    • Processes engineering documents in CMPro, and assigns project functional leads to review and sign documents as necessary
    • Reviews documentation for standardization such as SOVTs, BOMs, and Installation Guides for ECRs and FRCB
    • Facilitates processing of and tracks SAARs for account accesses
    • This is a hybrid position
    There will be approximately two days of telework per week

    Requirements MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

    • Two (2) years of experience supporting Navy projects as a technical writer, CM and/or documentation specialist
    • Experience writing/editing technical documentation, procedures and guidelines for Navy systems or equipment
    • Ability to work with a wide range of contributors including engineers, subject matter experts (SME), functional teams, and senior leadership
    • CMPro familiarity OR willingness to learn logistics management function and configuration management
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe and Visio
    • Keen attention to detail and familiarity with creating templates for documentation; this will be applied to creating System Operational Verification Tests (SOVTs) and Installation Guides
    • Secret clearanceDESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or Technical Writing
    • Ability to effectively interact with and elicit information from engineers and other technical Subject Matter Experts to synthesize disparate data points into a focused message and communicate technical topics
    • Experience or familiarity with Fleet Readiness Certification Board (FRCB) and/or Specialized Infrastructure Data Enterprise Reporting System (SPIDERS) AKA SYSCOM PEO Integrated Data Environment and Repository
    • Familiarity with Enterprise Change Request (ECR) process
    • Certified SCRUM Master through SCRUM Alliance OR experience with managing a Kanban Board and workflow management systems
