    Job Description

    Skymarks Family Dentistry is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join their team.

    This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment with state-of-the-art technology and a strong focus on patient care and comfort.

    • Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
    • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health history to provide quality care.
    • Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments using advanced equipment such as iTero 3D scanners and digital photography.
    • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures in accordance with state dental practice acts.
    • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record-keeping, ensuring accurate and efficient management of patient information.
    • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and follow OSHA and CDC recommendations.
    • Manage supply and inventory levels, ordering necessary materials and expediting delivery when required.
    • Collaborate with providers and teams to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.

    Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
    • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required by state dental practice act.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect patient health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
    • Dentrix or other dental software experience.
    • Dental assisting school certification.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
    • Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year.
