    Job Description:

    The Faculty Affairs Administrator provides assistance to the Vice President of Academic Affairs through day-to-day faculty interactions. These interactions include but are not limited to new hire processing, promotion and tenure development procedures, oversight of Academic Affairs budget, etc. The administrator will provide support, as needed, to the Academic Affairs office for major projects and events.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Leading the administrative efforts for onboarding faculty members, adjunct faculty contracts.
    • Coordinating promotion, tenure, second year review and professional development procedures.
    • Processing and tracking approved activities (e.g., sabbaticals and other leaves, resignations, retirements, FTE changes), and maintaining appropriate documentation and communication.
    • Responsible for developing and managing various databases including faculty record keeping systems.
    • The administrator will assist the Vice President in oversight of Academic Affairs department budgets.
    • Coordinate the annual planning process with the Division of Academic Affairs
    • Support the Office of Sponsored Research as needed in administrative duties

    Requirements:

    Minimum Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Ability to utilize analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, listening skills. multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail.
    • Demonstrable written communication and presentation skills.
    • Prior experience delivering accurate and courteous service in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
    • Requires excellent computer skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Word, Excel, and associated software.
    • Ability to commit to a team-building approach and maintain an effective working relationship with other employees.
    • Ability to exhibit courtesy and patience while working with a diverse student population.
    • Ability to multi-task as well as produce work independently; prioritizing work, meetings, etc.
    • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and objectives.
