TAX SENIOR / TAX MANAGER - IRVING

Newly created Tax Senior position with plans to promote to Tax Manager next year as part of a succession plan This role will work alongside a tenured Tax Manager and have exposure to all areas of corporate tax federal compliance, multi-state returns, provision, controversy, tax credits, etc.

The team is very collaborative with other departments on special projects and M&A work, so there is plenty of opportunities to grow professionally and develop your internal network.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and oversee the preparation and filing of federal and state corporate income returns for the company and other affiliated entities.
• Prepare and review quarterly tax estimates and year-end projections.
• Assist with income tax provision compliance & financial statements audit to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP, including tax-related general accounts: deferred tax balances, income tax expense, and Federal and state tax payable accounts.
• Prepare and review state modification and apportionment schedules.
• Maintain tax basis depreciation records and intangible asset schedules.
• Manage and assist with Federal, state income & franchise tax audits and notices.
• Coordinate, prepare, and oversee annual reports filings.
• Collaborate with other departments within the organization.
• Manage relationships with external tax consultants and provide guidance on the implementation of various tax planning strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor in Accounting
• 4+ years of relevant experience in corporate income tax with a focus on compliance
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage projects and prioritize deadlines
