    The Global Manufacturing Strategy & Planning Team is charged with developing strategies to build the right products, with the right people, in the right places, at the right time.

    We proactively monitor the competitive landscape and collaborate across all GM functions to develop a flexible, efficient and innovative Global Manufacturing Footprint.


    About the Role:
    Reporting to the Sr.

    Manager, Global Footprint & Strategic Studies, the Data Analyst will be responsible for development of GM's global propulsion footprint, integration of short term and long term volume data and supporting strategic studies that are both internally and externally focused.

    The ideal candidate will be an analytical, strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a proven track record of distilling large amounts of data into compelling insights.


    What You'll Do:
    Use department developed data applications to merge GM global vehicle production volumes with powertrain usage forecast and generate powertrain global manufacturing footprint

    Gather, analyze and report large amounts of data related to both GM and other OEMs manufacturing footprint (e.g., production by plant, import/export volumes, ICE/EV)

    Collect regional short term schedule data and consolidate into a global budget file

    Support departmental data retention policies and procedures to ensure data is managed in accordance with GM IT data security protocol

    Manage SharePoint sites & libraries for Global Strategy & Planning Department

    Collaborate with various GM teams and leverage external resources to obtain data and generate insights focused on manufacturing innovation and footprint usage

    Proactively identify and implement opportunities to further automate data processing
