    GENERAL PURPOSE:

    The IT Project Lead will be working on a team providing technical implementation and support services to clients


    Be responsible for:

    understanding and documenting the business requirements/technical specifications, performing technical development and/or configuration, designing test cases, creating test data and performing unit testing, communicating with the client, and supporting the overall delivery including status reporting, dependency management and risk/issue identification and mitigation.


    The base salary range for this role is $106,700 - $182,000.

    The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location.

    The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.





    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



    • Lead the activities of providing new capabilities and driving value from existing capabilities.
    • Ability to lead development of materials and deliver / present to senior leadership
    • Manage organizational transformation projects throughout the entire systems development lifecycle, ensuring that requirements are defined accurately, systems are designed/coded or purchased that meet the defined requirements and that execute efficiently. Create detailed project plans, coordinates team resources and manages to overall project timeline. Ensure that test plans and training plans are designed and executed successfully, all required system and user documentation is created accurately, projects are completed on time and under budget and anticipated business benefits are achieved.
    • Support existing production systems, coordinate related support and enhancement activities. Define and prioritize problems and requests. Ensure proper testing and business change management practices and procedures are followed. Ensure all support activities are executed on time and on budget.
    • Drive test planning and execution throughout all phases of testing (i.e. unit, end-to-end, integration, performance, operational readiness, user acceptance.) for all assigned projects.
    • Take a leadership role in analyzing the use of new and existing technology to meet current and future business needs. Investigate new tools, applications, and technologies and determines how these can be used to solve business problems. Understand business trends and the need for competitive advantage.
    • Recommend, design, and oversee development of application solutions. Work with senior members of the IT organization to create and enforce architectural standards. Ensures architectural integrity within the enterprise. Be the technical resource across multiple platforms and systems.
    • Provide technical training to programmers and programmer analysts on the use of new technologies. Provide working prototypes and development environments for other programmers to experiment with. Work with other leads on large projects, either as a lead or a team member. Expected to perform business design and analysis, internal consulting, application testing, and application design reviews.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:



    • 7 years' experience supporting retail systems or IT consulting experience supporting retail. Solid understanding of retail dynamics within a complex, highly integrated environment.
    • 5 years' experience in consulting/supporting IT implementation of Workforce Management systems such as Infor, Reflexis, Blue Yonder (JDA/Red Prairie) or and mainstream Workforce Management suite offering.
    • Experience working for a national retailer with multiple stores or consulting firm.
    • Experience with implementation, enhancements and support of retail store infrastructure systems.
    • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in information systems, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
    • Technical orientation balanced by project management discipline. Able to supervise internal programmers, analysts, consultants, non-technical business resources and external vendor resources.
    • Demonstrated track record managing technical application projects.

    • A solid understanding of industry best practices in retail; specific demonstrated experience mapping business processes and comparing those processes to industry best practices
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to execute basic financial analysis, such as ROI.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/

    This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback.

    This position requires the ability to use a computer, work as part of a team, and the ability to communicate with team members and others.

    However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
