GENERAL LABORER– 2ND CHANCE JOB OPPORTUNITY

STARTING HOURLY PAY: $18.00/HOUR

JOB SUMMARY:

The General Laborer performs a variety of general manual labor tasks under direct supervision. This position is responsible for tasks such as lifting and moving materials, loading, and unloading vehicles, digging, and refilling holes, and other activities in a helping or assisting mode to support waste management operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Performs general manual labor tasks as directed, including lifting, and moving materials, loading, and unloading vehicles, and assisting with various tasks as needed.

· Follows safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

· Assists with the maintenance and cleaning of waste disposal equipment and facilities.

· Works under direct supervision to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job does not have any supervisory duties.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Zero to four years of previous experience in a similar role.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

None required.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES REQUIRED:

None required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) occasionally.

· Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 30 pounds most of the workday.

· Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) occasionally.

· Required to be exposed to a physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements occasionally.

· Normal setting for this job is manual labor.

COMPENSATION

Pay for this position will start at $18.00 per hour, plus possible opportunity for overtime.
