    Adventure Tours is a rapidly growing motor coach company with locations in Maryland, Charlotte, NC; Philadelphia, PA; and Long Island, NY. We strive to provide safe and exceptional travel experiences, emphasizing reliability and compliance with all transportation regulations.

    Adventure Tours Safety Manager works with drivers to ensure driver standards are met and maintained throughout company. Safety Manager maintains compliance with DOT & FMCSA. Safety Manager executes established safety policies throughout company. Safety Manager responds to accidents or incidents, driver questions or concerns, and is involved with coaching and driver training.

    Safety Manager makes sure that all drivers are qualified and up-to-date on licensing. In addition, Safety Manager must also be able to meet the qualifications for a motor coach operator and will agree to hold and maintain a CDL license and proper endorsements.

    Requirements:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and policies according to DOT regulations and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
    • Assist with driver hiring, training, and certification processes to ensure compliance with DOT requirements.
    • Stay updated with changes in transportation regulations and ensure the company adapts swiftly to new requirements.
    • Investigate accidents and incidents involving company vehicles, providing thorough reports.
    • Lead safety meetings and training sessions for staff to reinforce safety awareness and compliance.
    • Handle the reporting and documentation related to DOT compliance and safety standards.
    • Assist with charter coverage when needed.
    • Participate in on-call schedule.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in Transportation, Logistics, Safety Management, or a related field.
    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is highly preferred.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in transportation safety and compliance management, specifically within the motor coach or related industry.
    • In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to implement and monitor safety programs.
