Travel CT Technologist (Hospital) Job | Rochester, NY

Travel CT Technologist opportunity in Rochester, NY in a hospital imaging department. Work consistent weekday evening (mid) shifts and support fast-paced diagnostic imaging using Siemens CT technology; Level 1 trauma center experience is required. • Additional Coverage: Holidays, on-call, and callback as needed per unit requirements
  
• Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $2,560–$2,740

CT Technologist Requirements

• Experience: Two (2) years' experience as a CT Technologist / CT Tech
  
• Trauma Experience: Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
  
• Education: Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology
  
• Certification: ARRT (CT) / ARRT (CT/R) in good standing
  
• Licensure: New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to start)
  
• Life Support: BLS (AHA) required
  
• CT Equipment: Siemens CT scanner experience (minimum 6 months required)
  
• EMR/Documentation: Epic experience highly desired
  
• Preferred: Injection certification preferred (or willingness to complete during orientation)
  
• Preferred Platforms: Philips and Siemens exposure
  
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, patient-centered care, and teamwork in a hospital imaging environment
  

Key Responsibilities (Hospital CT Tech)

• Verify patient identity and confirm CT exam orders prior to scanning, following departmental safety policies and procedures
  
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical teams to deliver timely, high-quality diagnostic imaging
  
• Prepare and educate patients on CT procedures to support comfort, safety, and cooperation
  
• Start IVs and administer contrast per protocol and scope (as applicable)
  
• Position patients accurately, including assisting patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling practices
  
• Document exams thoroughly in Epic, including accurate image identification and completion details
  
• Transmit images to PACS and ensure exam completion workflows are followed
  
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized CT suite and follow infection prevention standards
  
• Participate in on-call/callback coverage and holiday rotations as assigned by unit needs
