The Oregon Military Department is recruiting for 2 Group Life Coordinator 2 positions located within The Oregon Youth ChallENge Program in Bend,Oregon.
This position performs the following major duties Responsible for care control safety security of youth in a 24/7 facility Supervise youth with emphasis on safety personal growth teamwork program's eight core components Promote positive youth development by establishing healthy professional relationships role-modeling desired professional behaviors maintaining an exceptional uniform appearance ensuring safe training environment Monitoring reporting behavior of cadets during daily activities offsite community projects academic instruction meals extracurricular activities Work effectively with youth who may have social economic emotional behavioral challenges Assist youth developing short- long-term goals overcoming obstacles conflict resolution developing life skills Plans leads participates daily physical fitness activities including running calling cadence Provides classroom instruction topics related program standards character development What You Will Be Doing
The Oregon Youth Challenge Program intensive alternative High School At Risk 16–18-year-old Oregon dropouts providing unique educational opportunity high school dropouts within military structure overview Students participate in daily academic instruction community service physical exercise PT President's Council Physical Fitness activities Two phase enterprise consisting residential academic/military phase post-residential phase life planning re-integration Curriculum modeled CORE components focusesacademic excellence physical fitness nutrition community involvement leadership followership health skills development life planning Staffed professional teachers counseling staff residential supervision cadre managers Located Bend,Oregon land owned Federal Government loan State Military Department Working Conditions Must able to perform assigned tasks duties occasional lifting exertion necessary Occasionally exposed adverse weather environmental conditions Required various shifts days swing graveyard weekends holidays occasionally overnight travel Come contact irate students parents public Transport students State-owned vehicles Maintain physical fitness standards tested annually Maintain personal appearance standards Maintainedrug/alcohol free workplace OMD Drug/Alcohol CPMs Policies Statewide Drug Free Workplace Policy
