    Full-Stack Engineer (Seed Stage Gen AI Startup)

    Location:

    Hybrid in-person/Telework; Central Iowa-based

    We're building a team of mavericks, creators, explorers, architects, protectors, navigators and storytellers. You will work directly with our physician-led founding team, including experts in data science, healthcare policy and healthcare technology.

    Responsibilities:

    Design, develop, and deploy secure and scalable full-stack web applications on AWS infrastructure.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable and efficient solutions.
    Develop and maintain new user-facing features in React applications.
    Implement and maintain APIs (GraphQL) for seamless data retrieval and manipulation.
    Implement and maintain automated testing suites at all layers of the application.
    Utilize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment processes.
    Develop and optimize database schemas and queries using DynamoDB and other cloud-native data stores.
    Actively participate in the development and integration of Gen AI technologies into our platform.
    Take ownership of features from ideation to implementation, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
    Thrive in a fast-paced environment, where innovation and agility are paramount.
    Demonstrate a passion for continuous learning and keeping up with the rapid development of Gen AI tooling.

    Qualifications

    :

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    Proven experience deploying full-stack web applications securely to AWS.
    Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and experience with modern frameworks such as React.
    Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with relevant tools (e.g., GitHub Actions).
    Familiarity with GraphQL and its implementation in a production environment.
    Experience working with NoSQL databases, particularly DynamoDB.
    Strong automated testing background across all layers of the testing pyramid.
    Interest and/or experience in Gen AI technology is highly desirable.
    Data engineering and Python experience is a plus.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
    Self-directed with a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
    Ownership mentality with a focus on quality and security.
    Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
    Experience working in the healthcare industry is preferred but not required.
