Pipe Support Engineer - Ogden, UT, United States - SOC/Day & Zimmermann Federal Services
Description
Pipe Support Engineer needed for a multi-year contractopportunity with SOC's client to work in Ogden, UTUS Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret Clearance required Position Summary Essential duties include the locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations
Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.
3Responsibilities Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress and other support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required
Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering with 1- 3 years of related experience
US citizenship is required per contract requirement
Possess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance
Minimum Qualifications Good knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards
Prior experience using structural analysis programs
Preferred Qualifications EIT certification or PE registration
Prior experience using pipe support analysis programs GT STRUDL
Prior experience using Pipe Support Modeling software
Previous DOD/DOE project experience
