    Job Summary

    The Technology Lead will support the Minnesota Board on Aging (MBA), Aging and Adult Services Division (AASD), and Aging and Disability Services Administration (ADSA) technical needs. This position serves as the SharePoint and Microsoft Teams Owner for the MBA and AASD to ensure information is organized and MBA and AASD staff can collaborate effectively and efficiently with each other as well as with other area of the Agency. This position serves as the audio/visual lead for in-person and hybrid meetings for MBA, AASD and ADSA to ensure these board members, staff and audience members can fully participate in all meetings. This person also serves as the MBA Technology advisor, AASD-ADSA lead Technical Service Liaison, facilities all technical and non-technical aspects of on-onboarding and off-boarding.

    In these roles this position provides a wide range of tech-related supports, and grants and contracts management functions necessary to business operations of 1) Minnesota Board on Aging (MBA) which includes supporting MBA board members and staff who oversee MBA programs (i.e., Senior LinkAge Line and Office of the Ombudsman for LTC), and 2) all but one division of the Aging Services and Disability Services Administration (ADSA), not including the Disability Services Division (DSD). Incumbent applies skills and operational knowledge relating to State procurement policy as well as MNIT procurement, policy and support processes to ensure that MBA and the non-DSD ADSA division staff are able to complete their duties and responsibilities without interruption. MBA technology lead for procurement, contracting and reimbursement.

    Position functions include:
    • Identify, manage, and oversee the implementation of audio and video technology needed to support MBA in-person and remote meetings, retreats and training events (on average six to seven meetings annually)
    • Complete venue contracts for MBA in-person and remote meetings, retreats and training events
    • Provides support for onboarding new MBA and ADSA staff by assessing, procuring and installing needed hardware (computer, phones, etc.) and software, completing all required online forms and database updates, and providing training to new staff about accessing and using state network tools (including but not limited to Network drives, State shared emails, DHS Workplace, and more)
    • Serve as the lead Technical Support Liaison (TSL) to ADSA areas and provide training and support to those with back-up TSL responsibilities for ADSA areas
    • Develop, monitor, and manage data collection systems, forms, procedures and reports related to IT-related procedures and MNIT TSL requirements
    • MBA-AASD conference/training registration coordinator
    • Complete non-IT-related EIORs for MBA grants and contracts
    • Responsible for tech-related troubleshooting for ADSA staff and teams
    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    2 years professional experience in technology support and advisement. Experience must demonstrate the following:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain SharePoint sites designed for document management, information sharing and collaboration

    • Develop data tracking systems, forms and procedures and reports related to technical assistance

    • Coordinate and provide technical support and assistance to staff with standard computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and SharePoint

    Bachelor's degree in related field may substitute for 1 year of professional experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Advanced computer software skills using: Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams; SharePoint; Acrobat Professional

    • Knowledge of Federal and state government, laws, rules regulations and guidelines

    • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and/or cultures
