- Monitor accounts payable for entire portfolio and coordinate with staff.
- Process weekly payments of approved invoices as selected by management.
- Post monthly, weekly and quarterly escrows, management and accounting fees
- Oversee and manage duties and responsibilities of AP Specialists.
- Oversee the proper tracking and timely payment of utility invoices.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure utility invoices for accounts that should be in Tenant's name have been transferred accordingly and any items that are required to be billed back to tenants have been communicated to Accounts Receivable.
- Interact with vendors and/or management personnel as needed to ensure all vendor issues are handled effectively.
- Set up new vendors and ensure proper documentation has been provided for tax and insurance purposes for management.
- Enter, post, pay-online and or prepare manual checks as needed.
- Special projects as needed.
- Yearly 1099 and W9 tax preparation and reporting to the IRS and vendors.
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree, preferable if in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience as an Accounts Payable Manager.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications - Word and Excel.
- Real Estate accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a staff of 5.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.
- Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), and follow-up effectively with all levels within the organization and vendors.
- Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment.
- Yardi software experience a plus.

Accounts Payable Manager
Paths is a full-scale, vertically integrated affordable housing developer, builder, and operator. With over 14,000 units across 12 states under management and more than 500 employees, Paths manages a suite of capabilities spanning the entire property life-cycle, including: development, construction, property management, maintenance, and security.
Summary/Objective: Accounts Payable Manager performs crucial job duties that ensure vendors get paid for services and products rendered. They review and process invoices, audit credit card bills, answer vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, and process and distribute checks. This position reports to the Controller and oversees a department of three AP Specialists.
Classification: Exempt (not eligible for overtime)
Location: New York, NY
Hybrid Schedule - 3 Days in the office/2 days' work from home
