- Engage in the design phase of projects, ensuring the correct testing methodology for new or modified functions.
- Manage project activities between clients and internal staff to maximize technical resource benefits.
- Lead and participate in sessions with customers, plan projects, distribute tasks, and develop processes.
- Perform detailed testing duties, including test case creation, execution, and result monitoring/documentation.
- Mentor and provide guidance to the testing staff, enhancing team skills and testing effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of IT experience with a strong background in developing test plans and matrices.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Quality Center (ALM), or other defect tracking software.
- Extensive knowledge in whitebox testing, integration testing, and static testing.
- Excellent project planning, organization, and management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and manage documentation and reporting.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Background in health insurance processes.
- Familiarity with JAVA, Websphere, Windows, DB2, Oracle, IMS, and VSAM.
- Perform initial defect triage, update logs, retest defects, and participate in defect resolution meetings.
- Develop and execute test matrices, ensuring traceability to requirements and maintaining efficiency.
- Update testing documentation as needed and escalate concerns to ensure timely resolution and clear communication across the organization.
- Candidates with only coding experience or those lacking hands-on testing experience.
