    Job Title: System Test Analyst II

    Location: Columbia, SC (on-site Monday-Friday as needed, must be local)

    Duration: 5/6/24-5/2/25 with potential extension/conversion

    Rate: $43/hr

    Job Overview:

    The Analyst, Data I position based in Columbia, SC location involves analyzing operational functions to drive improvements and maintain efficiency. The role requires maintaining databases, extracting and analyzing data, and effectively communicating findings to management. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills, experience with data analysis tools, and a background in statistics, computer science, or a related field.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Engage in the design phase of projects, ensuring the correct testing methodology for new or modified functions.
    • Manage project activities between clients and internal staff to maximize technical resource benefits.
    • Lead and participate in sessions with customers, plan projects, distribute tasks, and develop processes.
    • Perform detailed testing duties, including test case creation, execution, and result monitoring/documentation.
    • Mentor and provide guidance to the testing staff, enhancing team skills and testing effectiveness.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
    • 5+ years of IT experience with a strong background in developing test plans and matrices.
    • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Quality Center (ALM), or other defect tracking software.
    • Extensive knowledge in whitebox testing, integration testing, and static testing.
    • Excellent project planning, organization, and management skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate and manage documentation and reporting.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
    • Background in health insurance processes.
    • Familiarity with JAVA, Websphere, Windows, DB2, Oracle, IMS, and VSAM.

    Typical Day:

    • Perform initial defect triage, update logs, retest defects, and participate in defect resolution meetings.
    • Develop and execute test matrices, ensuring traceability to requirements and maintaining efficiency.
    • Update testing documentation as needed and escalate concerns to ensure timely resolution and clear communication across the organization.

    What We're Not Looking For:

    • Candidates with only coding experience or those lacking hands-on testing experience.

    • Adaptable and proactive in identifying and implementing testing efficiencies.
