For more than 40 years, Lookout Pest Control has served the Southeastern United States with residential and commercial pest management, including general pest, termite and crawl space encapsulation services. In 1983, Lookout Pest Control was founded by Rod and Gina Haney — with a truck and a dream. Brothers Robb and Chad would spend many long days in the car with mom and dad, doorknocking their way to their earliest customers. Over the years, both generations have pioneered the growth of the business and are humbled and thankful for every customer and team member. Here's to the next 40 years

About the Role:

The Lead - Home Services Technician plays a critical role in overseeing and executing high-quality home service operations across various residential settings. This position is responsible for leading a team of technicians to ensure timely, efficient, and safe completion of installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. The role demands a strong focus on customer satisfaction by delivering expert technical solutions and fostering positive client relationships. Additionally, the Lead Technician will coordinate schedules, manage resources, and provide technical guidance to team members to optimize service delivery. Ultimately, this role ensures that all home service projects meet company standards and comply with safety regulations, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in relevant home service fields preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in home services, including installation, maintenance, or repair of residential systems.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a technical or service-oriented environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance related to home service operations.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record to travel to various customer locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in a technical discipline such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields.
  • Certification in project management or leadership training programs.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) and field service management software.
  • Familiarity with emerging home technology systems, including smart home devices and energy-efficient solutions.
  • Ability to obtain relevant state or local licenses or certifications as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of home service technicians to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to company standards.
  • Perform complex installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on home service equipment and systems, providing hands-on technical expertise.
  • Coordinate daily schedules, assign tasks, and manage resources to optimize team productivity and meet customer deadlines.
  • Conduct quality inspections and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure all work complies with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during service calls, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive service experience.
  • Collaborate with management to identify training needs and implement continuous improvement initiatives for the technical team.
