- This position maintains the cleanliness and security of the facilities and performs service and repair maintenance on facility and plumbing, heating and electrical systems.
- This includes but is not limited to the following: Performing a variety of cleaning duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, washing or waxing floors and stairs, shampooing rugs, cleaning doors and windows, and dusting furniture and fixtures.
- Sweeping, shoveling snow, de-icing, and salting outdoor walkways and areas in inclement weather.
- Operating a variety of cleaning and maintenance equipment: snow blower, weed trimmer, chainsaw, vacuum cleaner, shampooer, and performing routine maintenance on these.
- Setting up chairs, tables, AV equipment, and special needs for Meeting Rooms.
- Performing maintenance tasks such as plastering, painting, basic carpentry, and light construction and building repair.
- Routinely replacing HVAC filters, fuses, belts, monitoring thermostats, breakers and heat pump resets.
- Working knowledge of the principles and practices of carpentry, painting, plumbing, wiring, and the operation and use of heating ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC)
