Tuesday-Saturday 7pm-3:30am
Purpose Statement/Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Facility Operations performs all activities related to installation, full maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilating equipment auxiliaries, and their controls.
Serves as a resource for Refrigeration Mechanic I's.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: - 5 years journey level experience involving the installation, maintenance, and repair of central, multi-zoned air conditioning systems.
Must have experience troubleshooting and diagnosing HVAC and refrigeration equipment problems and failures. Work experience providing leadership and technical support to other craft personnel; using brakes, nibblers, shears, analyzers, leak detectors, portable power tools, actuated fasteners, gas and electric welders, refrigeration mechanichand tools, anemometer and other air balancing equipment (i.e. velocity meters and vibration sensors, etc.).
Must be flexible in regards to schedule because there are often repairs, testing, and construction coordination that are completed outside of the normal schedule.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
High school diploma or GED, Working knowledge of state and local HVAC codes, Indoor Air Quality Standards, AQMD Regulations, ASHRAE standards, UMC, and Valid California Driver's License EPA Section 608 Certification (CFC), HVAC Mechanical State License
Pay Scale Information
USD $49, USD $85,394.40

Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.
The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
