SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serves students ages 3-22 with challenges that interfere with their ability to communicate within the educational setting, requiring assessment and support of students with needs in the area(s) of articulation, receptive language, expressive language and pragmatics. The position focuses on curriculum and collaboration with the education team for specific skill development,
modifications, and adaptations that promote student participation and independence within the school environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university program.
* Hold a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
* Hold, or be eligible, for Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification in Speech/Language Pathology.
* Hold a Washington State Department of Health license in Speech Language Pathology.
* Demonstrated Valid Washington State Driver's License or evidence of mobility.
* Ability to navigate between multiple buildings throughout the day.
* Flexibility with assignment, as buildings and caseloads are determined by student need.
