Description

Job DescriptionResponsible for supporting the monthly accounting close, perform corporate consolidations, joint venture account reconciliations, ongoing audit requirements, regulatory exam support, and financial statement and ad-hoc tax reporting requests.

Principal Duties

Assume primary responsibility for recording advance related activity and operational servicing activity.
Prepare various journal entries and facilitate monthly close deadlines through automation and innovation.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations for both key and non-key servicing related assets and liabilities.
Assist in preparation of financial reporting information as required for SEC, statutory and compliance related reporting.
Maintain spreadsheet models and reports used in the accounting process.
Ability to understand process flow and how your tasks affect the larger picture.
Collaborate with our business partners in Servicing, Capital Markets and Treasury to resolve issues and build efficiencies.
Work with internal and external auditors and examiners to provide accurate, complete, and timely information.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

3+ years of related accounting experience required.

Banking/Mortgage/Financial Services industry experience a plus

Public accounting experience preferred.

Advanced Microsoft Excel.

Experience with SQL required
