    Description

    Overview

    Orrick seeks a Sr. IT Quality Assurance Engineer to work in our hybrid Wheeling, WV, Austin, and Houston offices. This position will collaborate with the IT PMO Manager and team to design and execute tests, identify software defects, and ensure quality standards are met.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the QA team in developing and implementing testing best practices and automation frameworks.
    • Update and maintain testing procedures and standards.
    • Review business processes for optimization.
    • Evaluate and improve testing tools and processes.
    • Mentor junior QA staff.
    • Design manual and automated test plans based on software requirements.
    • Analyze system specifications for comprehensive test coverage.
    • Perform various testing types, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
    • Track and document defects and test results.
    • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues and develop test strategies.
    • Maintain automation frameworks.
    • Monitor project deliverables and build business relationships.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
    • 5-10 years of manual and automation testing experience.
    • Proficiency with testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Visual Studio, JetBrains).
    • Experience with scripting languages like C#, Java, Python.
    • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and processes.
    • Certification such as ISTQB is preferred.
    • Experience with various testing types and SDLC models.
    • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
