- Provide input to infrastructure planning completes engineering studies analyze current conditions and future requirements recommend capital improvements gather and analyze data work with both internal and external customers to identify assess alternatives impacts
- Develop routine conceptual designs final designs cost estimates provide maintenance support for the electrical phases of buildings equipment installations utility systems grounds Align electrical designs customer requirements building codes applicable regulations applying knowledge of construction principles practices materials Assist others integrate activities multiple engineering disciplines outside consultants government agencies Analyze cause asset failures reduction asset capacity using reliability tools methods e.g. life cycle analysis condition-based maintenance root cause failure methodology mean time between failures fault tree analysis etc Ensure accuracy drawing archives libraries Support construction projects providing input vendor selection reviewing contractor proposals interfacing government regulatory agencies Prepare present project information ensure compliance applicable construction documents jurisdictional requirements meeting project objectives Use appropriate resources produce project drawings specifications accordance parameters Translate customer requirements design options documents estimates identify appropriate materials equipment services applying engineering principles methodology Collect customer requirements assist creation contract scope participate conceptual design analyzing intended use occupancy desired aesthetics code research developing preliminary design elements
